Faridabad :
Divided into sectors, Faridabad is a wellplanned city with due regard to government regulations. With Supreme Court's intervention in commercial and residential activities on roads between Sector 7 and 10, the city expected a boost to the planned development until the downturn. The global slowdown hampered growth of the city with lesser transactions, resulting in a drop in prices, along with a scarcity of funds for development.
Thought the market went into a slump, affordable housing, however, kept abreast with market demand in Faridabad . Many real estate developers have launched affordable housing projects in the city to fulfil end user demand. Omaxe, Shiv Sai Infrastructure, Pal Group, BPTP, Triveni Group, RPS,SPR Buildtech Ltd. and Ferrous Infrastructure are some of the developers who have launched group housing projects throughout Faridabad. These projects are slated to be completed by 2011. The residential units in these projects come in a price range between Rs 5 lakh and Rs 30 lak. With a number of flyovers, expressways and of course, the Metro line, coming up in Faridabad , the city will have unrivalled connectivity in the NCR. No wonder that several realty majors are making a beeline for this happening place, says Krishna Kumar Mangalam.
Faridabad 's real estate was in doldrums during the global slowdown. But, thanks to a number of residential housing projects launched in the city, the outlook is now optimistic. Brix Research gives an overview. |

Faridabad : On The Fast Track (2006-04-20)
The industrial town of Faridabad is fast becoming the next hot destination for expanding developers and the pace of real estate growth is expected to overtake that of Gurgaon and Noida in the near future.
Faridabad , the town of about 300 large and 10,000 small-scale industries, was for years lagging behind other satellite towns as a destination for real estate developers as well as investors and end-users alike. Only recently has this third satellite town of the National Capital Region gained their resurgent interest and is fast catching up as the next hot destination. A slew of residential and commercial projects by well-known developers are on the anvil.
“The growth in Faridabad traditionally has been neglected, as far as the core developmental work is concerned,” concurs Kabul Chawla, MD of Business Park Town Planners (BPTP), “but now civic agencies like HUDA and MCF are coming forward to develop the area,” he adds.
While Faridabad , with developable landmass in excess of 10,000 acres, remained fallow all these years, the other twin towns of NCR, Gurgaon and Noida, witnessed a flurry of real estate activity with heightened interest from developers and end-users. |
